Folsom Stake Youth & Leaders Gather to Prepare for

2023 Red Ribbon Week!

On September 16, 2023 Youth from the Folsom Stake gathered at the Scholar Way building to create materials for the upcoming Red Ribbon Week celebrated by school districts in October. The Stake Young Women and Stake Young Men Presidencies, the Stake Youth committee, and Kathleen Moore, a member of the Stake Communication Council as well as a member of the National Red Ribbon Week Committee, organized the event.  

This service activity was attended by over 50 youth and youth leaders who made several thousand red ribbons, while also launching a social media awareness campaign, encouraging their peers to avoid the use of narcotics, alcohol and nicotine. Ribbons will be distributed to schools in Folsom and El Dorado Hills to support educational efforts which focus on preventing substance abuse and related trauma.
